Alex Jones and Sam Thomas bring the own the park series back to life at this nice little skatepark in Melbourne's inner east.
In this series we attempt to do a trick on every obstacle in a skatepark to "own the park".

amazing mate
Thanks 😊
I really enjoy it! Great style bro! It would be awesome ride with you someday!
@@omarvargas2962 thankyou! Just watched some of your videos, loving your style too!! Would be great to ride together indeed, do you ever come to Australia?
I am 45 and finally decided to learn how to ride one of these. Truly greatful for all the great tips. Cheers from Alberta Canada
Great riding and edit as usual Sam! Hope you do another one soon!
Thanks Luke ❤️
Duuude this is gorgeous! Super clean lines and super smooth riding. I especially like all the fakie tricks you're doing, I think street needs more fakie lines like this. So good dude, love seeing this kind of effort put into street edits 👍
@@jacksebbenunicyclist thanks so much Jack! Appreciate your engagement as always 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it! I'll be pushing for more street edits for years to come at this stage, proper addicted to unicycling again at the moment 😎
I'm happy when I see videos like that. 🙂
@@2dduche Thanks Eddie! 😁
That ender clip was massive! So many great fakie tricks and skinnies as well!!
@@Alex_Anderson cheers Alex, i haven't been learning many new or big tricks so got to get techy and push the limits of the ones I have 😉 Get out and ride some street my man! 🙏
The filming and editing are so good! And all the lines are soooo clean! Amazing! I really enjoyed watching this
Thanks Trey! Glad it hit the spot 👌
Muito bom 🎉
Man I love this so much. Every line is so clean and original. Solid edit all around!
Thanks Scotty 🙏 glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent 👌 keeping the Australian scene alive
Thanks Waylon ❤️
Amazing edit! Creative use of spots, incorporating a big variety of tricks, and executed super clean as always. Good balance of longer lines and single tricks. My favourites have to be 1:17 and 3:03 . Seamless! Also all the fakieflips/variations 🙂
Thanks as always Luke, your inspiration in line choices/cleanliness of lines and your assistance with filming and motivation of late has been invaluable ❤️ Excited to ride and film more soon!
Woah! I think this is the best street edit I've seen so far this year. The intense music, the slow motion footage, filming, matching the landings to the beat and all of the clean lines is really thrilling. Through the whole video I was always anticipating what would come next. I especially liked the line at 1:35. So techy but still clean.
Thankyou ❤️ Glad the editing and song choice are hitting well! The timing to the tricks took a while! Rolls in street have always intrigued me, stoked you enjoyed that line!
Beautiful video. Seeing a fakie outflip in street made me stand up!
Thankyou! Haha, yeah I love fakie tricks, always have some planned for my videos 😅
I have watched this 3 times now. Each time I've picked up something different I didn't notice the time before. I'm commenting again.. you so deserve the praise for both the editorial effort with this level of riding. This is the kind of video that would instantly get me outside to ride and film. If it wasn't a workday I'd be outside this instant lol For example, the sex-change (up the manny pad) into backroll-180 unispin to 180 fakieflip down the ledge. That was an insanely difficult line made to look easy by nature of how clean you got it. Slo-mo 5th flip was pure badassery... then that final flip ledge gap was caught clean. There's a serious level of difficulty and skill here that's completely masked by how flawless these clips are. And that is a serious compliment!! Great work Sam.
Thanks again Brendan 😀 So stoked you're loving it. That little line with the change to back roll is getting some love, I considered taking it out for a bit because the camera angle was a bit meh. Worked in well with the edit in the end though! Get out for a ride ASAP man! I hope this inspires you to start filming a part soon too! Excited to see what you can do so soon back to riding if you put some time in ❤️
So fun to watch! And so clean! Minus the falls but you know, scratch that, the falls are clean as hell, too. 10/10🎉🎉
Thankyou 🙏 glad you enjoyed it!
멋진 영상 잘 봤습니다. 짱!!
Thankyou 🙏
Duuuude this is so good. Perfectly clean riding, lots of sick lines, and I love that you pull fakie tricks in street. The edit is also sick with this song. The beat synced landings.. so good. Great effort here man, stoked to see these kinds of videos still being put out.
Thanks so much Eli 🙏 This response is what I was hoping for from anyone, extra special coming from you! Glad the edit to the beats hit well! I'll always be bringing fakie tricks out in my street man, I don't get why so many people don't 🤔 got some good ones planned for the next edit! Get out and ride some street man!
Niceeee🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! ❤️
Bro this is some cinematic sh*t! Absolutely love the filming, choice (and skill) of the lines, editing and overall style. Keep it up dude
Thanks Nafe!! Turned out alright in the end!
Let's go you are back💪nice wideo
Thanks 🙏
so much style dude!! line at 1:37 was sooooo steezy. we do the thomas name well 😤
Thanks Colby ❤️ We do hey 😅 Yeah, had been dreaming of a street line with a back roll for a while, turned out alright!
I love it! Everything is so clean! 🫶
Thanks Clement! 😁
Is going backwards still called fakie? It’s called fakie on skateboarding, scooters, bmx, skiing, pretty much everything.
What you do when you scared to ride the unicycle 😂
How to stop when going to fast
This my new hobbie i got me a torker uni
What’s the first song called
Are you going to do any more videos
I watched a lot of unicycle videos, and this was the best one.
Thanks heaps for your clips. I have been learning for 2 months now getting consistent balance to ride.
119 like Great👍👍👍 2:25
I am 46 and really good at wheelies, i can pull ten second no handed wheelies on my 20 inch mountain bike(no toe clips) I am about to purchase a uni cycle to learn, should it be easier for me to learn than your average person?
I'm a unirider. So, about your wheelie skills: a.) Can you wheelie without touch the brakes? b.) Do you manipulate fore/aft balance by alternating hard and slow pedaling? c.) Do you twist your hips for lateral balancing? d.) Also, can you throw your upper body fore/aft or side/side for additional balancing? e.) Can you do a wheelie standing off the seat? e.) Can you do this on a bmx bike? If you answered, yes on all above, then you are more than ready. You should be able to pick up unicycling within 1 hr. If you answered 4/6 yes, then probably within 5 hrs. Enjoy...
@@trexinvert Hey man. I am very confident to do all these things listed. My goal is to busk sometimes on a unicycle, i also have a small sailing boat, so a unicycle would be really compact, it would be great for my fitness too, and i have all ways wanted to learn to ride one. Thank you for the reply, much appreciated!
I learned in 3 hrs, then went on a 5 mile get on ride fall off,get back on ride, and today my legs are tottally ruined, i am guessing my seat was far too low?
Thank you so much for this video its a great help! I just had one question- in the start you mention it’s better to learn without your feet in the “dead zone”. I am trying this but the unicycle keeps slipping behind me. Do you have any advice on how to fix this? Thank you so much
First, of all instructor is wrong. Yes, I said it. I'm a rider I know, but I still remember what it felt like as a beginner. Hardest thing about unicycle riding is teaching it. Chris Huriwai is a great rider and his videos cover a lot, but a beginner should only needs the first 3 minutes of this video. a.) The dead zone is the most "stable" position of the unicycle. That's why you ultimately end up in it. Your body scrambles for stability and finds it. There it is. b.) Use your upper body to tip forwards a little to start any motion. Be ready to tip back, also. c.) Push fwd the top pedal to 1'oclock. At the same time, use back foot to "hold". Don't let it spin. Now, hold it. d.) Now, go to 2 o'clock. e.) Now, 3 o'clock. Getting easier? f.) In fact, you probably pushed from 3 to 6 o'clock without even thinking. Now, you are in dead zone again. g.) Repeat, steps c.) to e.) again.... h.) again...again...again. BTW, instructors wrong also on how to mount it. a.) Hold onto something. b.) Push pedal all the way down(6 o'clock) with all your weight. Don't be scared it's not going anywhere. c.) No place your top foot on, but don't push down. d.) Now, slide the top foot fwd/back 12'oclock, 1'clock, 12'oclock, 11 o'clock.....etc. e.) Get a feel for it. Rock back and forth. Enjoy....slam
Watched a few of your videos before getting my first unicycle. I credit your videos for my very fast progress. I managed a free mount (with 2+ revs) on my second 20min practice, which is suspiciously quick. Contributing factors probably include a good habit of bouldering (which involves lots of balance) and lots of practice of staying in place on a regular bicycle, which probably transfers over well to unicycling. That said I'm SUPER thankful I stumbled upon your channel!
Dang that's amazing!!! I didn't expect to see a whole selection of different 360 tricks 😍
Yes! Wearing a helmet is a "I have 2 or three or maybe more. They are my gray matter protectors.
I managed an assisted mount a few times today! I need a better venue to practice at but I’m so excited that I got to start! <3
so,... anyone else doing this ??
Sin is a continuous function, so keep rhythm and steady power; most of your balance comes from the tire rotating. You need enough power to launch or increase speed, but not so much acceleration that you lose center. Keep your nose up, something that helped me learn to use my arms to balance; was rapidly tapping my fingers and thumbs to increase consciousness. Pedaling pushes you around a bit, and the force can be used to reposition on launches and later increase your height if you have to launch from slouch.
if i think of it like a riding a bike will that help or not?
Closer to a bmx bike where you never sit down and always pedaling and standing. Now learn to do some wheelies and manuals. Also, ride no handed but slowly and on incline. It's all about reducing the leverage that a 2 wheeler has, and becoming more sensitive to the pedal, balance, hip and upper body counter twisting (like swing your arms when walking & running). If you like to do something that looks stupid and impossible. If you are stubborn and like to never give up. This is for you. Maybe you're a natural.
You left out how to ride on the ceiling!
He makes it look soooo easy to even ride like unicycles are automatically stable and want to stay upright like a trike.
Thanks brother
Another unicyclist in NZ :o I have a friend that's looking to get into unicycling, but it seems the store that I got mine from years back is no longer around these days. Where would you recommend purchasing a unicycle from in Auckland/NZ without paying through the nose to get it shipped from AU/US? Great video too, I will be sending it to him for when he gets one :D In reply to the unicycles I own: I have a 20 inch QU-AX MUnicycle which I learned on and a newer 26 inch Nimbus II which I am in love with.
Oh my goodness the jump out scared me so much but now it’s my favorite way to get on
Cris vc é o cara! Muito grato por passar seu conhecimento pra nós, vc tem uma ótima didática.
